    In 1946, this would have felt radical. It still does. A late Matisse still life pitched in mustard yellow against a deep blue panel, with lemons, a patterned vase and loose drawn lines holding it all together.

    Hang it and a quiet room shifts. The yellow pushes warmth into the walls, the blue keeps it grounded, and the loose hand-drawn shapes give the eye somewhere to wander.

    Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

    Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

    When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

    Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

    Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

    You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

    How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

    Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

    Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

    Will the yellow look too strong in a small room?

    It can hold a small room well if the rest of the room stays calm. Keep walls a soft off-white or warm cream and avoid layering more yellow into the cushions, rugs and lampshades. The print is meant to be the colour event in the room, not one of several.

    Does the print include the 'MATISSE' header and the 'Interior in Yellow' title bar?

    Yes. This version is styled as an exhibition-poster reproduction, so the artist name sits across the top and the work title sits under the painting in a thin black band. If you want the painting alone with no text, this isn't that version.

    Is it better above a sofa or above a dining table?

    Either works, as long as the wall is fairly clear and the piece is roughly two-thirds the width of the furniture below. Dining rooms tend to suit it best — the warm yellow plays nicely with food, candles and evening light. Above a sofa, leave a bit of breathing room either side.
