    About This Art

The bed is the one place for it. A headboard gives a long picture something to sit on, and at around 100cm across the waterline runs level with the top of the headboard, so the whole wall settles. Deep green does the anchoring. Soft grey does the rest. Keep the bedding plain, washed linen in oat or white, and paint the wall a chalky off-white rather than a bright one. Hang it low, a hand's width above the headboard, so you see it from the pillow and not from the door. It suits a bedroom with morning light, because the mist reads as weather once the sun comes in. One lamp on each side. Leave the rest of the wall empty. On canvas there is no glass, so the low bedroom light throws no reflections back at you.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the grey and green look dull in a bedroom?

Only if the room is dark and the wall is cold white. With a warm off-white or light grey wall and daylight from a side window, the pale grey reads as morning light and the deep green gives the wall a solid base. Keep bedding plain in oat or white and the picture becomes the calmest thing in the room rather than the dullest.

How wide should I go above a double or king bed?

Aim to match the headboard, or come within about 10cm of it either side. For a standard double that means roughly 100 to 120cm wide, and for a king around 120 to 150cm. The long shape means the height stays modest, so it fits under a low ceiling and still covers the wall properly.

Does it work above a sofa as well as a bed?

Yes, and the same rule applies. Take about two thirds of the sofa width and hang it low, roughly 20cm above the back cushions. A grey or oat linen sofa suits it best, with one deep green cushion to pick up the shoreline. Avoid a second picture on that wall, as the wide shape does the whole job by itself.
