    About This Art

Most of a study wall is cool. Grey paint, a black desk, a screen that glows blue by evening. The old gold of the Molineux stands cuts straight through that, and the white ground around it keeps the warmth from turning heavy. Hang it above the desk at eye level and the whole corner reads a degree or two warmer before you have touched a cushion. Black metal shelving helps. So does leaving the rest of the wall bare, because the capacity and opening year at the bottom want to be read, not glanced at. In a boy's bedroom the same gold does a different job. It pulls the eye off a muddle of kit on the floor and onto one tidy thing. North light suits it. On fine-art paper the stand lines stay crisp enough to count the seat tiers.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the gold clash with a mustard or yellow sofa?

Probably. The old gold of the stands is a deep, slightly orange yellow, and a mustard sofa in the same room makes both look like a near miss. It behaves far better against grey, charcoal, navy or white, where it becomes the only warm colour and reads as deliberate. If the sofa is staying, hang it in a different room.

What size do I need to read the capacity and opening year?

At medium size the location, capacity and 1889 date read comfortably from about a metre and a half, which is the distance you stand from a study wall or the foot of a bed. Small works if you want it as an accent on a shelf or a desk, but the type then becomes decoration rather than information.

Does it work in a room with no other football things?

Yes, and arguably better. The white ground and plain serif make it look like an architectural drawing first and a club piece second, so it holds up in a grey study or a hallway with no scarves or shirts in sight. Keep the wall around it bare and let the gold be the one warm thing in the room.
