    No, the deep red doesn't soften the room. It defines it. This is a peony study with real weight — three blooms in deep red, cream, and blush against an almost-black ground of dark leaves.

    Hang it and the room gets quieter and richer at the same time. Walls drop back, lamplight pulls colour out of the petals, and any green or cream already in the room suddenly feels intentional.

    It works hardest in a living room or bedroom, above a sideboard, sofa or low chest of drawers. Eye-level for the bloom is about right.

    Pair it with warm woods, linen or velvet upholstery, and ceramics in cream or rust. Cream or chalky off-white walls let the dark background do its job; deep green walls turn it into a feature.

    Don't crowd it with other busy florals — one quieter botanical or a plain abstract nearby is plenty. Stretched on a wooden frame for a soft, matte canvas finish.

    Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

    Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

    When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

    Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

    Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

    You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

    How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

    Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

    Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

    Is the background truly black or more of a deep green?

    It reads as near-black at a glance, but there's a lot of very dark olive and warm brown in the leafwork. Under warm lamplight you'll see more of the green; in daylight it sits closer to charcoal. That softness is what stops it feeling flat.

    Will it look too heavy in a small room?

    Not if you go with the size and let it be the main event. In a small room, hang it solo on the longest wall with a clear margin around it. Avoid stacking it above busy patterned furniture or alongside other dark florals — one anchor is enough.

    Does the deep red clash with pink or orange rooms?

    The red has a slight orange warmth, so it sits happily with terracotta, rust, and warm cream. Cool bubblegum pinks will fight it. If your room leans cool pink, this isn't the right floral — look for a softer pastel peony instead.
