    About This Art

Back in the 1950s, this abstract belonged to another kind of home. One big navy brushstroke, a little warm sand, and a lot of empty off-white around it. Put it up and a flat wall suddenly has direction — your eye follows the curve instead of scanning the room. It does its best work on a wide, calm wall: above a low sofa, over a bed, or on a study wall you look at all day. Keep the things near it simple — pale oak, linen, one stoneware bowl, a lamp with a plain shade. What it does not want is a crowd. Skip busy patterns, small framed clusters and shiny gold nearby. On fine-art paper the pale ground stays soft and the splatter keeps its crisp edges.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the navy look too cold in a warm, timber-filled room?

Not usually. There is a band of warm sand running through the middle of the stroke, and that warmth is what ties the navy to oak, walnut and linen. If your room leans very yellow, keep the frame black rather than a wood tone so the contrast stays deliberate.

Does it still work in a smaller size?

It works down to medium, but the empty off-white areas are part of the composition, so shrinking it too far makes the stroke feel cramped. Large is the sweet spot above a sofa or bed. In a hallway or a narrow gap, medium at eye level is a safer fit.

Which way should the curve face on my wall?

The stroke sweeps from the upper left down and across to the right, so it leads the eye into whatever sits to the right of it. Hang it to the left of a door, a window or a tall plant and the movement points into the room rather than off the wall.
