    About This Art

Yes, the single-line illustrator knew how to charm a room — and how to cut. The whole orchid is one unbroken black line on a cream background, with one soft pink shape sitting behind the lowest bloom. Put it up and a room stops feeling unfinished without getting busier. The empty lower half gives your eye somewhere to rest, so it suits smaller walls that a bolder piece would crowd. Hang it above a bedside table, a low chest of drawers, or in a bathroom where the light stays soft. Pair it with linen, pale wood, cane and matte ceramics. Don't hang it beside heavy dark oils or loud pattern — the line is too fine to survive that competition. As a canvas the surface is matte and frameless-looking, so the cream ground carries straight onto the wall.

We're serious about canvas art, ask away

From sizing to framing and print quality, Fab's art experts break it all down—so you can find the right art for your space.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the thin black line still show up from across the room?

From a metre or two, yes — the loop of blooms reads clearly. From the far side of a big living room the line softens and you mostly see cream. That is why it suits bedrooms, bathrooms and hallways, where you pass close by, and why a medium size beats a small one.

Does the soft pink shape read as pink or more like beige?

It reads as a gentle dusty pink against the warmer cream, closer to a blush than a bright pink. In cool north-facing light it looks a touch greyer; in warm afternoon light it warms up. It is subtle enough to sit in a neutral room without turning the wall pink.

The bottom half is mostly empty — will it look unfinished on my wall?

The open space is deliberate and it is what keeps the piece calm. To make it feel intentional, hang it so the drawing sits at eye level and leave clear wall either side. If bare space bothers you, pair it with a second line drawing rather than sizing this one down.
