    About This Art

Most rooms lean one way. A north-facing kitchen sits cool all day, and a south-facing living room goes warm by noon. This one does both at once, so it settles either kind of room instead of fighting it. Cobalt pulls a warm room back to sensible. Mustard lends a cool room the heat it lacks by late afternoon. Hang it on the wall beside the window, at eye level, where daylight catches the blue first and the yellow second. White painted brick or plain plaster gives it space. Keep the table under it simple, a dark wood top or a slab of pale stone. One thing to resist is a yellow wall behind it. Half the print vanishes and only the blue gets a say. On canvas the thick brushwork reads as paint.

We're serious about canvas art, ask away

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the yellow fight with an oak kitchen?

Not if the oak is pale or mid tone. The mustard in the pot sits close to the warmth of natural oak, so the two read as relatives rather than rivals. The cobalt then does the contrast work against the wood. Very orange or heavily varnished oak is harder, because the yellow starts to look brown next to it. In that case hang it on a white or grey wall away from the units.

What size works on a dining room wall?

Go large. At around 60 by 80cm the pot sits close to the size of a real one on the sideboard below, and the patterned leaves read as fabric rather than fuzz. Smaller than 40cm wide the pattern turns to texture and the picture loses its point. Leave at least 15cm of clear wall either side so the blue has an edge to stop against.

    Does it suit grey walls?

Grey is its best backdrop. A mid grey wall picks up the slate tones around the window and pushes the cobalt and mustard forward, so the room gets colour without needing paint. Very dark charcoal also works but the blue loses some depth against it. Cool pale grey with a hint of blue is the one to avoid, as it flattens the cobalt into the wall.
