    About This Art

Give the cat an empty wall. The joke lands because nothing else competes, so take down the spice rack, the clock and the three small frames around it. A run of white tile or a painted cupboard in dusty blue is all the company it needs. Hang it at the end of the kitchen table where people sit facing it, roughly at a seated eye line, so the cat appears to be looking over the edge at your dinner. Ginger against a soft blue wall reads warm and stays quiet. Keep pattern away. Striped tea towels are fine, a busy floral blind beside it is not. Skip the second cat picture too. One is funny. Two is a theme, and the joke is gone. Stretched on canvas it reads like the original painting, with no glass between you and the cat.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the blue grey background clash with a white kitchen?

A white kitchen is where the blue grey earns its keep. Against white tile or white units the background reads as a soft colour rather than a grey, and the ginger warms the whole wall. Keep the hanging wall free of other colour and let the white do the framing. If your kitchen is cream rather than white, the brown lower half picks up the cream and the piece looks even more at home.

How big should I go in a narrow hallway?

In a hallway, go smaller than instinct says. The cat works at close range, where a person walking past meets its eyes, so around 40 to 50cm wide is plenty on a narrow wall. Hang the centre at about 150cm from the floor so the stare lands at adult head height. Bigger sizes suit a kitchen or a landing where there is room to step back.

Does it work in a child's bedroom?

Yes, and it ages well. Children read the joke straight away, while the muted blue grey and brown keep it from looking like nursery art, so it survives the move from a toddler's room to a teenager's. Hang it low over a bed or a desk where the child sees it at eye level. Pair it with plain bedding in cream or dusty blue rather than character prints.
