    About This Art

A nursery this pared back can take one serious soft pink. The penguin sits front and centre on a warm cream background, so the room gets a focal point without gaining clutter or noise. Hang it above a changing unit, low over a cot-side chair, or on the short wall you see first from the door. Keep the company simple: pale wood, cream linen, cane storage and a soft wool rug. One or two small toy baskets are plenty. Skip busy patterned wallpaper behind it and avoid crowding it with bright primary-colour decals, which fight the gentle flowers. It also grows up well, so it can move into a big-kid bedroom later. Printed on premium fine-art paper, with the option to add a real wood frame.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will this look too babyish once my child is older?

It shouldn't. The palette is soft cream, charcoal and muted pink rather than nursery brights, and the drawing style is detailed rather than cartoonish. Plenty of buyers move it from a nursery into a bigger bedroom, a landing or a small study. If you want it to age up faster, hang it solo rather than in a set of animal prints.

Does the cream background match off-white walls?

Usually yes. The background is a warm cream, so it sits comfortably against off-white, chalky white and pale greige walls. Against a cool bright white it will read slightly warmer, which most people like. On strong colours such as deep terracotta or mustard the pale flowers lose their punch, so keep the wall gentle.

How big should I go for a small nursery?

Medium is the sweet spot. The penguin's face and flower crown carry lots of fine detail, so you want it close enough to see from a metre or two away, but not so large that it fills the only clear wall. Leave some empty wall on both sides and hang it low, closer to a child's eye level.
