    About This Art

Back in the 1960s, this little table scene belonged to another kind of home — a Parisian flat, a long lunch, a bottle of wine opened slowly. Loose black ink lines sketch the chairs, bottle and teapot against a soft pink tablecloth, with a small potted plant in warm terracotta as the only burst of colour. It brings a relaxed, lived-in feel to a kitchen, dining nook or breakfast corner. Hang it above a sideboard, between cabinets, or on a quiet wall near the table where you actually eat. It sits well with bentwood chairs, painted timber, linen and simple stoneware. Avoid pairing it with busy patterned wallpaper or anything too polished — it likes a bit of breathing room.

We're serious about canvas art, ask away

From sizing to framing and print quality, Fab's art experts break it all down—so you can find the right art for your space.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the pink feel too sweet in a kitchen?

The pink here is a soft, warm wash rather than a bright candy tone, and it's anchored by strong black ink lines and a terracotta pot. In a kitchen with painted timber, bentwood chairs or chalky off-white walls it reads warm and lived-in rather than girly.

Does it work in a small dining nook?

Yes — the portrait shape and medium size suit smaller walls above a sideboard, banquette or compact dining table. Leave roughly 15–20cm of clear wall between the top of the furniture and the bottom of the piece so it sits comfortably without crowding the table.

Can I pair it with other art on the same wall?

It prefers to work alone. The loose linework and pink wash carry their own energy, so a single wall above the table or sideboard is the strongest placement. If you want company, hang a quieter piece on a different wall rather than clustering them together.
