    About This Art

Most landscape prints behave. This one picks a side. It takes Derain's 1905 Fauvist view of Collioure — blue mountains, mustard hills, green and blue olive trees — and drops three black cats into the scene. One arches its back, one dangles from a branch, one strolls through the grass.

Put it on the wall and the room loosens up. The colours are loud but balanced, and the cats give the eye something cheeky to land on. It reads as a proper piece of art with a wink built in.

Works best on a wall that needs waking up — a hallway, a kitchen, a living room with a quiet sofa. Hang it on its own at eye level so the colour has space to breathe.

Pairs well with warm oak, terracotta tiles, linen, stoneware and simple black metal. A black frame sharpens the cats; oak softens the whole thing.

Skip it if you want quiet, washed-out neutrals. This one is here to be noticed. Printed on premium fine-art paper with rich, true colour.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the bright blue and mustard fight a colourful sofa?

It can. The print is loud on purpose — blue mountain, mustard ground, green-blue trees. It works best against calm walls and quieter upholstery in oat, cream, soft grey or pale linen. If your sofa is already strong colour or heavy pattern, hang the print on a different wall in the same room rather than directly above it.

Are the cats obvious or do they take a moment to spot?

Both. The arched cat on the left and the strolling cat at the bottom are easy to see straight away. The one dangling from the branch in the middle takes a second look. That's part of the appeal — it rewards people who actually stop and look at the wall.

Does it work in a small room or does it need a big wall?

It needs room to breathe but the wall doesn't have to be huge. A medium hallway, a kitchen short wall or a quiet section above a sofa all work. Give it 30–40cm of clear wall on each side and hang it on its own — don't crowd it with shelves or other frames.
