    About This Art

Because the illustrator knew restraint, the red hits harder here. One narrow band of red at the dog's throat, and the rest left to mustard, charcoal and cream. Hang it and a plain wall suddenly has a character in the room — calm, watchful, faintly comic. It works at eye level in a hallway, above a kitchen counter, or over a desk where you look up often. Pair it with warm woods, cream linen, rush seating and a couple of stoneware pieces in mustard or charcoal. Don't crowd it with busy patterned wallpaper or a row of shiny photographs; the flat grainy texture needs a quiet surface to sit against. On fine-art paper the speckled, hand-printed grain stays crisp and matte.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

    Made responsibly
FSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Does it read as a German Shorthaired Pointer or just a generic dog?

The long muzzle, dropped ears and speckled chest are all pointer traits, so owners of the breed usually spot it straight away. That said, it is a stylised folk portrait rather than a breed study, so the markings are simplified into flat shapes. Liver-and-white and black-and-white owners both tend to recognise it.

Will the mustard and cream look dull on a dark wall?

No — it actually gains. Against deep green, clay or charcoal paint the cream background lifts and the mustard warms up, while the red collar stays the brightest point. If your wall is very dark, a slim black frame keeps the edges tidy rather than letting the cream float.

Is a square piece hard to hang above furniture?

Not at all, it just needs the right width. Above a console, chest or sideboard, aim for a piece around two thirds the furniture width and leave roughly 15-20cm between the top of the furniture and the bottom edge. On a bare hallway wall, centre it at eye level and keep the space around it clear.
