    About This Art

Leave the kids' bedroom wall blank if you like cautious rooms. This one is not cautious. A deep red and coral pteranodon glides across a soft blue sky, and the room instantly picks a side. Put it above a low bed, a chest of drawers or a reading corner, at a height a child can actually look at rather than adult eye level. Pale wood, cream bedding and a warm rug keep the red from shouting. Painted storage in soft blue picks up the sky. What not to do: crowd it with other loud characters or busy patterned wallpaper. It needs a bit of plain wall around it to read properly. Stretched over a wooden frame and ready to hang straight on the wall.

We're serious about canvas art, ask away

From sizing to framing and print quality, Fab's art experts break it all down—so you can find the right art for your space.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the strong red be too much in a small bedroom?

It shouldn't be. Red only covers a small part of the picture — most of it is soft blue sky and cream. In a small room, keep the surrounding wall plain and the bedding neutral, and the red reads as a single bright accent rather than a wall of colour.

Is this suitable for a nursery, or is it more for an older child?

It works for both. The shapes are simple and friendly enough for a nursery, and the flat retro style doesn't feel babyish, so it still looks right at six or seven. Many parents hang it low over a changing unit first, then move it above the bed later.

How wide a wall do I need for this to look right?

Allow at least a metre of clear wall. The wingspan runs almost edge to edge, so the picture needs breathing room on both sides to look intentional. Above a low bed, a chest of drawers or a sideboard is ideal, with roughly the same gap of wall on each side.

Does it work outside a child's room?

Yes. The colours and flat graphic style suit a family living room, a playful home office or a hallway. Hang it at adult eye level in those rooms and pair it with pale wood and plain walls so it reads as a graphic picture rather than a nursery decoration.
