    About This Art

Back in 1961, this library poster belonged to another kind of home. It was pinned in school corridors and town libraries during National Library Week, telling people to wake up and read for a richer, fuller life. Hung today, it brings a quiet bit of optimism into a room without trying too hard. The grey-green background sits back, the teal arrow draws the eye, and the small red heart does most of the work. It earns its spot above a desk, a reading chair or a bookshelf — anywhere the message lands without feeling pushy. Pair it with oak shelving, linen, leather and a warm lamp. Avoid hanging it next to other busy slogan prints; this one wants room to breathe. Looks especially good in a black or oak frame.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Does the slogan dominate the image, or is the graphic the main thing?

The graphic does most of the work. The reader silhouette, teal arrow and red heart take the eye first; the slogan settles in around it. From a normal viewing distance the words read as part of the composition rather than as a headline shouting from the wall.

Will the soft grey-green ground clash with warm walls?

It can sit awkwardly against strongly warm walls like terracotta or deep mustard, because the ground is cool. It looks best on off-white, soft warm-white, pale grey or pale green walls, and it works well in rooms with oak, walnut and linen rather than heavy red-brown tones.

Is this better above a desk or in a hallway?

Both work. Above a desk it reads as quiet encouragement at eye-level and pairs nicely with a lamp and a small stack of books. In a hallway above a console it greets people on the way in. It is portrait-shaped, so it suits narrower walls rather than wide sofa walls.
