This is a loose watercolour Cavalier Spaniel, painted with watery edges and plenty of white space, the kind of print dog people stop and smile at.     Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

    Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

    Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

    Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

    You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

    How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

    Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

    Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

    Does the dog look more red or more brown?

    It reads as warm chestnut — a red-leaning brown rather than a cool or grey brown. There are deeper red-brown shadows around the ears and chest, with softer peach mid-tones, all sitting on a clean cream-white background. It pulls in warm rooms with cream, oak and linen easily.

    Is the spaniel facing forward or away?

    The dog is sitting facing forward with its head tilted upward, so you see the top of the head, the long ears falling either side and the soft cream blaze running down the chest. The face itself isn't detailed — it's more of a gentle, loose portrait than a sharp head study.

    Will the loose watercolour look unfinished on the wall?

    No — the watery edges are the point. There's plenty of clean white space around the dog, so it reads as a proper soft watercolour rather than a half-finished sketch. It looks most settled on a calm cream or off-white wall, hung on its own or with one quiet companion piece.
