    About This Art

Before anyone mentions retro illustration, notice what the warm off-white does to oak. The room reads softer, friendlier, more like a real kitchen and less like a showroom. Hang it where you actually make tea and toast. It works above a counter, beside a fridge, or on the wall behind a breakfast table. Pair it with painted cabinets, open shelves of mugs, a wooden chopping board left out, and a bowl of fruit that is allowed to be a bit messy. What not to do: don't surround it with sleek black gloss or a wall of stainless steel — the charm of the piece needs a softer backdrop to land. Printed on premium fine-art paper.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Is there a lot of small text on the print?

Yes. Below the bok choy character there's a paragraph listing stalls — bread, cheeses, charcuterie, kombucha and so on — set in a small bold caps. At medium size it's readable from a metre or two away; at small sizes the list becomes more of a texture than something you'd stand and read.

Will the warm cream background clash with bright-white kitchen cabinets?

It'll read as warmer and softer than crisp white cabinets, which is usually what people want — it stops a white kitchen feeling clinical. If your kitchen is very cool-toned bright white throughout, an oak or black frame helps tie the cream into the room rather than letting it float.

Does it work outside the kitchen?

Yes — it suits pantries, breakfast nooks, casual dining corners and entryways into open-plan kitchens. It's less at home in formal living rooms or bedrooms because the type is chatty and the mascot is playful, so it tends to want a food-adjacent room.
