    About This Art

January is when a living room shows its grey. The light comes in flat, the sofa looks tired and nothing on the wall pulls its weight. Hang this above the sofa and the red takes over from the first dark afternoon to the last. It reads warm at four o'clock without a lamp. Winter suits it. Keep the rest of the room quiet, a charcoal or navy sofa, pale floorboards, one tan leather chair to answer the saddle. At 120cm wide the horse fills the width of a three-seater and the wall stops looking empty. Come summer the same red holds up against open windows and white walls. Give it the low, wide space and nothing else on that wall. On fine-art paper the crayon texture stays crisp behind the glazing.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

    Made responsibly
FSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the red look too strong in a small living room?

A small room is where it works best, oddly. One strong red on a white wall reads as a decision, whereas several small reds read as clutter. Keep the sofa, rug and curtains in grey, navy or cream and the red becomes the only warm thing in the room. Avoid it only if the walls themselves are painted a deep colour, where it loses its edge.

How wide should this be over a standard three-seater sofa?

A three-seater sofa is usually 200 to 220cm across. Aim for the picture to cover two thirds of that, so 120 to 150cm wide, with the bottom edge about 20cm above the back cushions. Any narrower and it floats. The 2:1 shape keeps the height modest at that width, so it will not crowd a low ceiling.

Does it suit a child's room or is it more of an adult piece?

It sits happily in either. Children respond to the horse and the red without anything cute added, and there is no text, no cartoon face and nothing they will grow out of. In a living room or study the same picture reads as a graphic poster. The one place it can feel too lively is a bedroom meant for deep rest, where the red stays bright at night.
