    About This Art

Kitchens look their best mid-morning and this one knows it. Sunlight across a worktop finds the cream first, then the cobalt tabletop, and the whole wall reads like a diner at eleven o'clock. Hang it on the wall beside the breakfast table, at eye level for someone sitting down. Sage walls behind it are the obvious friend. White tile works just as well, and a run of pale plywood cabinets gives the blue something warm to argue with. Evenings are kinder than you would expect. Under a single pendant the dark root beer brown sinks back and the cherry does the talking. Keep the counter below clear. One jar of striped straws is the only prop it needs. On canvas the thick brushwork keeps its ridges and catches the morning light along every stroke.

We're serious about canvas art, ask away

From sizing to framing and print quality, Fab's art experts break it all down—so you can find the right art for your space.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the cobalt blue work in a kitchen that is mostly white?

Yes, and it is probably the best setting for it. A white kitchen gives the blue nothing to compete with, so it reads as the one strong colour in the room. The sage sits quietly against white tile and the cream in the glass picks up pale worktops. Add one blue tumbler or tea towel and the room looks planned rather than accidental.

What size should I go for above a breakfast table?

Medium, around 50 to 60cm tall, hung so the centre sits at eye level for someone seated. The glass stays close to life size at that scale, which is the whole charm. Larger sizes suit a dining room end wall with more distance in front of it. Small works as a single accent on a narrow wall beside the fridge or a run of cabinets.

Does it work anywhere other than the kitchen?

A dining room is the natural second home, especially one with walnut or plywood furniture, where the sage and cobalt feel properly mid-century. It also works in a hallway near the kitchen door or a home office that needs a bit of cheer. Bedrooms are a harder fit. The dark brown and strong blue are lively colours, and most people want quieter walls where they sleep.
