    About This Art

The oak frame matters first; it tells the living room you're serious. Renoir's loose brushwork needs a frame that holds the warmth without competing, and a warm wood does exactly that. The room shifts as soon as it's up — the warm browns and dusty pinks soften hard edges, and ceilings feel a little lower in a good way. Hang it above a low sideboard or sofa, slightly off-centre so the painterly bunch reads naturally rather than as a formal study. It works beside linen and velvet in cream or rust, aged leather, and warm pottery. Skip the cool greys, glossy chrome, and pure-white minimalism — they make the painting look stranded. The canvas weave deepens the brushwork and gives the bouquet a more tactile, painted feel on the wall.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the warm browns clash with cool grey walls?

Honestly, yes — a bit. The painting is built on sandy beige and warm browns, so cool grey walls will make it look stranded. It's much happier against warm whites, cream, soft plaster pinks, or pale clay tones. If your walls are cool grey, plan for warm wood furniture and a lamp nearby to bridge the temperature.

How visible is the loose brushwork up close?

Very. This is late Renoir — the petals are half-formed on purpose, with visible strokes and unblended colour. Up close it looks unfinished, which is the point. Step back two or three metres and the bouquet pulls together. If you prefer sharp, detailed florals, this won't be for you.

Does it work above a bed, or only over a sofa?

Both work. The composition is horizontal and soft-edged, so it sits naturally above a headboard or a low sideboard or sofa. Above a bed, it reads romantic and quiet; above a sideboard or sofa, it reads warm and lived-in. Either way, hang it low — bottom edge around 20–25cm above the furniture.
