How do I frame an art print?

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
How prominent is the yellow cable car against the rest of the colours?
The cable car sits dead centre and reads as the main focal point — it's the only strong warm colour against cool blues and soft greys. From across a room you'll see the yellow shape first, then the bridge in the distance, then the buildings on either side.
Does the print include the Golden Gate Bridge or the Bay Bridge?
It's the Bay Bridge, recognisable by its twin suspension spans painted in a strong blue. The Golden Gate isn't shown. The bridge sits well in the background, so it reads as part of the view rather than the headline.
Will the loose sketch style still look good at larger sizes?
Yes — the ink lines and watercolour washes are designed to hold up at medium and large sizes. At larger scale you'll see more of the brush texture and pen marks, which adds to the hand-drawn feel rather than looking pixelated or over-stretched.
