How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the navy background look too heavy in a small kitchen?
It's a deep navy, but the composition is spare and most of the print breathes around the cat. In a small kitchen it actually anchors the wall and makes pale cabinets and worktops look crisper. If your kitchen is already dark, hang it against a warmer off-white wall instead.
Is the humour obvious, or do you need to know the meme?
Both work. If you know the Smudge cat moment, it reads instantly as the meme. If you don't, it still reads as a slightly unimpressed white cat in front of a plate of greens — which is funny on its own. It doesn't need a caption.
