    About This Art

'Too safe,' said nobody standing in front of deep red. The print is a loose, hand-drawn pour — bottle, glass, and a quiet little punchline — on a warm cream background. It brings personality to a room that often plays it straight. Hang it in the kitchen above a drinks trolley, in the dining room near the sideboard, or in a bar nook where people gather and pour. The red lifts pale timber cabinets, off-white walls, and stoneware on open shelves, and it sits happily next to terracotta tile or warm brick. Keep the wall around it calm — one or two pieces at most. Don't crowd it with heavy florals or another big graphic statement; the joke lands better with space around it. Printed on premium fine-art paper with a soft, matte finish.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Is the red strong enough to read from across a room?

Yes — the line work is loose but the red is confident and the background is a clean warm cream, so it holds its own from three or four metres away. In a medium size above a sideboard or drinks trolley, you'll read both the pour and the words clearly from the other side of a kitchen or dining room.

Will it look out of place in a calm, neutral room?

It works better than you'd think. The background is the same warm cream you'd find in many neutral schemes, so it slots in rather than fighting the room. The red becomes the single accent. If the rest of the room is very cool — grey, dusty blue — the warm red can feel slightly off, so it sits best against warm whites, timber and terracotta.

Does the wine reference make it a bad fit for family kitchens?

That's a personal call. The image is loose and playful rather than boozy, and 'Say When…' reads more as a host's line than a drinking slogan. Plenty of family kitchens hang it without issue, but if you'd rather not have any alcohol reference at child eye-level, a dining room or bar nook is a safer spot.
