    About This Art

Yes, the artist knew how to charm a room — and how to cut. This schnauzer is nothing but fast black pen lines on white, and that spareness is what makes it work. Put it on a plain wall and the room gets a bit of wit without any extra colour to manage. It suits a hallway, a study, or the wall beside a bed where you want something friendly rather than serious. Pair it with pale wood, black metal, linen and simple white ceramics. Keep the wall around it quiet — busy wallpaper or a patterned runner underneath will swallow the linework and lose the dog. As a canvas the white ground reads softly matt, so the black lines stay the focus.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the scribble still read as a schnauzer from across the room?

Yes. The lines are dense through the body and looser at the edges, so the stocky stance, beard and folded ears hold their shape from a few metres away. Up close you see the loops instead. That double reading is the point, and it is why a medium size in a hallway or study works better than something very small.

Does it suit a room with no other black and white in it?

It can, but give it something to talk to. A black lamp base, dark metal shelf brackets, a charcoal cushion or a black frame is usually enough to make the drawing look intentional rather than dropped in. On a warm, all-neutral wall with no dark notes at all, the contrast can feel a little abrupt.

Is it too lively for a bedroom wall?

Not really. The energy sits in the drawing rather than in colour, so it stays quiet in a dim room. Hang it beside a bed or on the wall opposite rather than directly centred above the headboard if you want it to feel calmer, and keep the surrounding wall plain.
