    About This Art

The oak frame matters first; it tells the hallway you're serious. Pick something with real weight — a mid-tone wood that nods to the warm brown stonework in the print.

What changes is the wall stops feeling like a corridor and starts feeling like the start of something. The soft blue sky lifts the whole row of doors, and the clock tower gives the eye a place to land.

Hang it at eye-level in a hallway, above a console in the entryway, or as the focal piece in a home office. Travel-poster work needs a bit of breathing room around it.

Pair it with oak or walnut furniture, a wool runner, linen upholstery, and brass or aged-bronze fittings. A tartan throw or a stack of hardback travel books finishes the story.

Don't crowd it with other busy travel posters in the same sightline — let this one be the one you actually stop and look at. Arrives ready to frame, or framed in real wood with premium acrylic glazing.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Which Scottish city does the street scene look like?

It reads as Edinburgh's old town — the tall stone tenements, the slim cobbled street and the central clock-tower spire are all cues from that part of the city. It's an illustrated impression rather than a portrait of one specific street, so it sits comfortably as a general Scotland piece.

Will the soft blue sky clash with warm-toned walls?

No — the blue here is washed out rather than bright, and it's balanced by sand, stone and warm brown tones in the buildings. It sits well against cream, soft beige, clay and even deep sage walls. It struggles more against cool grey-blue walls, where the sky can blend in and flatten.

Does the SCOTLAND lettering at the bottom feel too touristy in a home setting?

The text is sized and spaced like a vintage travel poster rather than a souvenir print, so it reads more as graphic design than a tourist sign. If you'd rather lean further from the travel-poster look, pair it with non-text companions like architectural sketches or city maps without captions.
