    About This Art

Watch the dog drawing land, then the black line start doing damage. It looks like a quick doodle from a distance, then the ears, nose and shaggy legs pull into focus as you get closer. In a room of neutrals it does the job a bold colour usually does: gives the eye somewhere to go without adding a single new shade. Hang it at eye level in a hallway, above a desk, or in a run up the stairs. Keep the company simple — painted or pale wood furniture, plain white ceramics, black metal details. Don't crowd it with busy patterned wallpaper or other heavily detailed drawings; the scribble needs plain wall around it to read properly. On fine-art paper the line stays crisp and the white sits clean and bright.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will it still look like a bichon frise from across the room?

Yes. The densest scribbling sits in the head, ears and chest, so the silhouette holds together from a few metres away. Up close it breaks into loose loops of line. If you want the shape to read strongly in a bigger room, go a size up rather than down.

Does the big white background look empty on the wall?

It reads as breathing space rather than emptiness, as long as you give the piece bare wall around it. On a plain painted wall the white blends in and the black line does the work. If your wall is patterned or busy, the white will fight it, so choose a quieter spot.

Will this work in a colourful room, or only in neutrals?

It works in both. Black and white sits with almost any colour scheme because it adds contrast rather than another shade. In a colourful room, hang it where the surrounding wall is plain so the linework has room. In neutrals it becomes the strongest thing on the wall.
