    About This Art

Call it playful if you want; we call it better walls. A cat drawn in one long tangle of black lines, sitting on a plain white background. Put it up and a flat, tidy wall gets a jolt of personality without gaining a single extra colour. It suits a hallway wall, a home office above the desk, or the gap beside a bookcase where nothing else quite fits. Keep the surroundings simple: black metal, pale wood, chrome, wool, plain white ceramics. Don't crowd it with other busy patterns or heavy florals — the scribble needs breathing room to read as a cat rather than a mess. As a canvas the lines sit softly on the weave with no glazing reflections.

We're serious about canvas art, ask away

From sizing to framing and print quality, Fab's art experts break it all down—so you can find the right art for your space.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Does it actually read as a cat from across the room?

Yes. The ears, the raised head and the curl of the tail hold the shape, so from two or three metres away it reads clearly as a sitting cat. Up close the lines break apart into loops and tangles, which is part of the appeal. Give it a plain wall and it reads faster.

Will it look odd next to colourful art I already own?

It can, if the colour is right beside it. Black and white line work sits best with a bit of space, or grouped with other monochrome pieces. If your existing art is bright, hang this on a separate wall or in a different room rather than trying to blend the two into one arrangement.

Is it too busy for a small hallway?

No, because most of the surface is plain white. The scribble is dense, but it sits inside a lot of empty space, so it reads lighter than it first looks. Choose a medium size rather than a large one in a tight hallway and leave clear wall on both sides.

Does it suit a child's room?

It can. The drawing is friendly rather than scary and the black-and-white contrast reads well for younger eyes. It works better in a kids' room than a nursery, and pairs neatly with other simple animal line drawings.
