    About This Art

Too much beige. Not enough black. This fixes that. A cat built from one restless tangle of line, standing on white, with nothing else competing for attention. Put it up in a room of cream walls, oatmeal sofa and pale wood and the whole thing sharpens instantly — the beige suddenly looks chosen rather than accidental. Hang it at eye level in a hallway, on a study wall above a desk, or vertically beside a bookcase where the portrait shape has room to breathe. Pair it with black metal handles, grey stoneware and a soft grey rug so the black line gets echoed once. Don't crowd it with other patterned pieces or busy florals; this one wants clear wall on either side. As stretched canvas the white background picks up a soft weave and the edges stay frameless and clean.

We're serious about canvas art, ask away

From sizing to framing and print quality, Fab's art experts break it all down—so you can find the right art for your space.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the tangled lines look messy from across the room?

No. Step back and the scribble resolves into a clear standing cat with pricked ears and a curled tail. Up close you get the mess of the line, further away you get the animal. That double read is the point, and it is why the piece rewards a wall you walk past often, like a hallway or the end of a landing.

Does it need to go in a room with other black and white pieces?

Not at all. It only needs one thing to echo it: a black lamp base, a dark door frame, an iron handle, a charcoal cushion. One repeat is enough to make it look deliberate. In a fully warm room of beige, cream and pale wood, it works as the single sharp note rather than part of a matching set.

Is a cat drawing too casual for a living room?

This one is drawn, not cute. There is no bow, no caption and no pastel. It reads as a line study first and a cat second, which is why it holds its own above a sideboard or beside a bookcase in a grown-up room. If you want something openly sweet and cartoonish, this is not that.
