    About This Art

Unlike most dog art, this doesn't wait for approval. One tangle of black line, one very white background, and a Dalmatian that reads clearly from across the room. Put it up and a flat wall gets movement without gaining clutter — the eye follows the scribble, then settles on the dog. It earns its keep in a hallway, a home office or the gap beside a bookcase, hung at eye level where you pass it daily. Keep the surroundings plain: pale wood, painted furniture, black metal, white ceramics. Don't crowd it with busy pattern, heavy florals or several other strong graphic pieces on the same wall — this one needs breathing space to work. On premium fine-art paper the white stays clean and the linework keeps its sharp edges.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Does the Dalmatian read clearly from a distance, or does it just look like a tangle?

From a metre or two back the shape resolves quickly — head turned, ears down, four legs planted. Up close you see the loops and overlaps that make the spots and the shadow underneath. That shift between near and far is the point of the piece, so give it a wall you walk past rather than one you only view from a doorway.

Will it look too stark on a white wall?

On bright white it goes very graphic, which suits a modern room. If you want it softer, hang it on a soft grey, greige or muted green wall — the white ground then reads as a light panel rather than blending in. A slim black frame also helps by giving the print a defined edge.

Can I pair it with another dog print?

Yes, as long as the second piece is also simple and black-and-white. Two scribble drawings of different breeds side by side works well, hung with a small gap and matching frames. Avoid pairing it with a realistic or colourful pet portrait, as the two drawing styles fight rather than sit together.
