    About This Art

Think of it as Picasso with less reverence and better instincts. One cat, hundreds of fast black lines, and a lot of white space left alone. Put it up and a flat wall suddenly has a focal point without gaining any colour, so the room stays as calm as it was. It suits a hallway, a study wall above a desk, or the gap between two windows in a living room. Keep the company simple: black metal or painted furniture, pale wood, linen, grey wool, a plain rug. Don't crowd it with patterned wallpaper or busy florals — the lines need clear space either side to read as a cat rather than a tangle. As canvas it reads softer and more hand-drawn, with no reflection to fight.

We're serious about canvas art, ask away

From sizing to framing and print quality, Fab's art experts break it all down—so you can find the right art for your space.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the cat still look like a cat from across the room?

Yes. From a couple of metres the overlapping lines settle into a clear sitting cat, with the head, ear and tail easy to read. Up close you see the loose scribbles and the stripes built from denser lines. Medium sizes hold that balance best; very small sizes can make the busiest areas merge.

Does it work in a colourful room or only a neutral one?

Both. Because it is only black and white it does not fight existing colour, so it works in a bright room as a calm break. In a neutral room it becomes the strongest thing on the wall. The one setting to be careful with is a deep or heavily patterned wall, where the white background can look abrupt.

Can I pair it with a print of another pet?

Yes, as long as the partner is also line-based and mostly black and white. A dog or bird drawn in the same loose ink style will sit as a matched pair. Mixing it with a soft colour pet painting tends to look accidental, since the styles pull in different directions.
