    About This Art

For a living room full of curves, this painterly portrait brings the check. A woman in a deep green polka-dot dress sits with a white cat in her lap, against a soft coral chair.

Hung up, the room slows down. The coral warms a cool wall, the dark green grounds it, and the white cat catches the light without shouting.

It works best above a low sideboard, a reading chair or a bed — somewhere you sit rather than pass through. Eye-level is fine; slightly lower is better above furniture.

Pair it with linen, pale oak, soft stoneware and warm metals like brass or aged bronze. Off-white or pale grey walls let the coral do the heavy lifting.

Don't crowd it with other bold portraits or strong patterns — this one needs a little quiet around it. Stretched over a wooden frame and ready to hang, with framed canvas options for a finished edge.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Does the warm coral take over a room, or stay in the background?

The coral is soft and chalky rather than bright, and the dark green dress balances it out. In most rooms it reads as warm and grounding rather than loud, especially against off-white or pale grey walls. If your room already has a strong orange or red, hang it where it can sit on its own.

Is the brushwork loose or finely detailed up close?

Loose. Faces, hands and the cat are simplified, with visible brushstrokes and a slightly chalky finish. It's a painterly, modern-folk style rather than a polished realist portrait. From a couple of metres away the figure reads clearly; up close it's all texture and confident strokes.

Will it suit a bedroom with mostly neutral bedding?

Yes — that's one of its strongest rooms. Cream linen, oat tones and pale wood let the coral and dark green do the work without competing. Hang it above a chest of drawers or to one side of the bed rather than dead-centre over the headboard if you want it to feel quiet.
