    About This Art

Three things it does fast: ground soft green, sharpen linen, wake bedroom. The water dominates and the figures stay quiet, so the whole wall starts to breathe. A still room reads as restful rather than empty once this goes up. Hang it above a low bed, a console in a quiet hallway, or on the long wall of a calm bathroom. Pair it with pale oak, washed linen, cream plaster, and soft ceramics — anything chalky and matte. Avoid hot brights, glossy black lacquer, and busy patterned wallpaper nearby; they fight the watery mood and the loose brushwork gets lost. Printed on heavyweight fine-art paper with a soft matte finish that holds the painterly edges.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

How prominent are the two figures in the painting?

They're deliberately small — about a tenth of the height of the piece, positioned in the upper-middle area. The water does most of the work. From across a room you'll read the green and the brushwork first, then notice the swimmers as you get closer.

Will the soft green feel cold in a north-facing room?

It can lean cool in low light, so it suits rooms with at least some warm balance — pale oak, cream walls, linen, or a warm-toned lamp nearby. In a very cold north-facing space, pair it with timber and soft textiles rather than more grey.

Is this a good fit above a bed if the headboard is dark?

Yes, the contrast actually helps. The pale green floats nicely against a dark linen or oak headboard and stops the wall feeling washed-out. Just keep bedding soft and uncluttered so the loose brushwork has room to breathe.
