Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
   
   
2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
   
   
3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

It can actually do the opposite. In a small room — a downstairs loo, a tight hallway, a snug — the black ground reads as a jewel-box backdrop rather than a void, and the red and cream pop harder up close. In a large pale room, you'll want a calmer, deeper wall colour behind it so it doesn't float.

Decorative. The serpent is stylised in the chinoiserie tradition — patterned scales, a coiled symmetrical pose, and a calm expression rather than a strike. It reads more like a zodiac motif or a textile pattern than a wildlife illustration, so it sits comfortably as everyday wall art.

Deeper, warmer walls hold it best — warm charcoal, deep green, oxblood, or a warm chalky off-white. Bright cool whites tend to make the black ground look like a hole. If your walls are pale, lean into warm lamplight and pair with dark wood or velvet to bridge the contrast.
