    Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

    Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

    When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

    Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

    Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

    You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

    How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

    Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

    Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

    Will the fine pencil detail still read from across a room?

    The head and paws hold up from a distance, but the finest fur hatching rewards a closer look. Hang it where people pass or sit within about two metres, such as beside a bed, above a desk or along a hallway. At the medium size the shape of the curled dog stays clear even from the far side of a living room.

    Does the white background work on a coloured wall?

    Yes, and it often looks better than on plain white. Deep green, soft grey-blue, clay or charcoal walls make the white background read as a bright panel and push the drawing forward. On a white wall, add a frame with some weight so the edges of the artwork are defined rather than dissolving into the paint.

    Is it too specific if my dog is a different breed?

    The markings are clearly a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, so it lands best with owners of that breed or anyone drawn to a long-eared, curled-up dog. If your dog looks nothing alike, it still works as a calm sleeping-animal drawing, but it will read as a portrait of a particular breed to visitors.
