    About This Art

Buy the sleeping dog drawing for the story. Keep it for the soft grey. There is a moment every dog owner recognises here — the deep, boneless sleep of a dog that feels completely safe. On the wall it slows a room down. The white background keeps things open, so a busy corner reads calmer rather than fuller. Hang it at eye level in a hallway, above a low bookshelf in a study, or over a bed where the quiet suits the hour. It sits happily with linen, wool, pale wood and soft grey walls. Skip loud colour right beside it, and don't crowd it with heavy patterned prints — the fine linework needs a little breathing room. On fine-art paper the pencil hatching stays crisp and readable up close.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

    Made responsibly
FSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the fine pencil lines still show at a smaller size?

At small sizes the coat starts to read as soft grey rather than individual strokes. A medium landscape size keeps the hatching visible from a metre or so away, which is how most people will see it in a hallway or beside a bed. If you want the detail to be the point, size up rather than down.

Is the background pure white or slightly off-white?

The background is a clean bright white with only faint grey shading under the paws, so it reads as open space rather than a tone. That means it sits best on off-white, soft grey or pale plaster walls. On a strong dark wall the white will look like a bright block, which changes the calm feel.

Does it work if my dog is a different breed?

Plenty of buyers choose it for the pose rather than the breed — a dog curled up, nose tucked, fully asleep. The markings and upright ears are clearly German Shepherd, so it lands hardest with Shepherd and Alsatian owners. If breed accuracy matters to you, look for a matching breed drawing instead.
