    About This Art

We like a sleeping dog best when it comes with a little abrasion. The pencil lines here are visible and slightly scratchy, so the piece stays warm rather than sugary. Hung up, it lowers the volume of a room. The white background reads as breathing space on a busy wall, and the grey tones sit quietly against off-white, pale grey or soft green paint. It works above a bed, along a hallway or over a low sideboard where you pass it often. Pair it with pale wood, linen, wool and simple ceramics. Don't crowd it with loud colour posters or heavy patterned wallpaper — the drawing needs a bit of empty wall on either side to read properly. On premium fine-art paper the pencil texture stays crisp and the white sits clean.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

    Made responsibly
FSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will this look washed out on a white wall?

It can if you hang it unframed on bright white. The drawing has a white background, so it needs an edge to hold it. A slim black frame or a mount gives it definition. On a soft grey, greige or deeper painted wall the drawing separates on its own and you can go without.

How close do you need to be to see the pencil detail?

The coat is built from very fine strokes, so the texture really shows from about a metre away. From further back it reads as a soft grey curled shape. That is why it suits hallways, bedside walls and desk walls where you pass or sit close to it.

Does it only suit husky owners?

No. The curled sleeping shape is how most dogs settle, so it lands with anyone who has a dog. It also works simply as a calm animal drawing — plenty of people choose it for the grey and white palette and the pencil texture rather than the breed.
