    About This Art

Because the artist knew restraint, the soft grey hits harder here. On a quiet wall it does the work of a full picture without adding a single loud colour. Hang it in a bedroom above a low chest of drawers, in a study behind the desk, or along a hallway at eye level where people slow down anyway. It suits rooms that already lean pale — off-white walls, linen bedding, plain wool rugs — and it gives them a focal point that still feels restful. Keep the wall around it clear; one crowded shelf of clutter underneath will undo it. Avoid hanging it beside busy pattern or strong colour blocks, which flatten the fine linework. As a canvas it sits flush to the wall with a soft matt surface and no reflections.

We're serious about canvas art, ask away

From sizing to framing and print quality, Fab's art experts break it all down—so you can find the right art for your space.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the fine pen lines still show at a smaller size?

At small sizes the hatching starts to merge into flat grey, so the fur loses its texture. A medium size is the sweet spot — big enough for the folded ears, whiskers and tail stripes to stay separate, while the wide white background still feels airy rather than empty.

Does it work on a coloured or dark wall?

It looks best on pale walls — off-white, soft grey, pale greige — where the white background blends and the drawing floats. On a dark or strongly coloured wall the big white area reads as a bright rectangle. If your wall is dark, a framed version with a wider surround helps soften that edge.

What should I hang next to it?

Keep company quiet. Other line drawings, black-and-white botanical studies or simple monochrome photographs sit well beside it. Match the sizes fairly closely and keep spacing even, since the piece has no strong colour to hold its own against busy or brightly coloured neighbours.
