    About This Art

Think of it as Matisse with less reverence and better instincts. Two cream bird shapes are scraped out of a warm terracotta block, loose and confident, with no fuss around the edges. Hang it in a quiet room and it slows everything down — a bedroom corner, a hallway, the wall above a reading chair. It carries warmth without shouting, so it lifts plaster walls, linen bedding and oak or walnut timber without fighting them. Pair it with woven baskets, stoneware and a little brass for a grounded organic-modern feel. Skip the cool grey-and-chrome rooms; the terracotta will look stranded. Avoid hanging it next to highly detailed photography — this piece wants room to breathe.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the terracotta read orange on a warm white wall?

It reads as warm clay rather than bright orange. Against a chalky off-white or plaster wall it settles into a soft, earthy brown-red. If your walls lean cool grey, the terracotta will feel more saturated and may sit awkwardly — a warm off-white or putty wall is the easier match.

Does it work on its own or should I pair it?

It works very well solo above a bed, bench or console — the negative space and loose shapes need breathing room. If you want to pair it, choose one quieter piece in the same warm cream and clay family, ideally a soft botanical or another minimal abstract. Avoid busy patterns or high-contrast black-and-white work nearby.

Is the brushwork crisp or visibly loose?

Visibly loose. The terracotta block has rough, painterly edges and the cream bird shapes are scraped out with confident, imperfect strokes. If you prefer hard-edged geometric abstracts or crisp graphic prints, this won't be the right fit. If you like a hand-painted, slightly raw feel, it delivers exactly that.
