Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
   
   
2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
   
   
3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

It softens, but it doesn't disappear. The sage backdrop in the painting gives just enough contrast against a bright white wall, and the warm sand shadows hold the shape of the cat. If your wall is very stark, a slim oak or warm wood frame helps lift it and give it a clear edge.

The piece reads as a cream or pale Burmese-style cat seen from behind, but it's a loose painted study rather than a breed portrait. The brushwork keeps it general enough to feel like any soft, light-coated cat — which makes it easier to live with than a sharp realistic likeness.

A medium portrait sits well centred above a standard double or king headboard, leaving a small margin of wall either side. If your headboard is wide or your ceilings are tall, size up to a large to keep the proportions balanced and stop it floating too small on the wall.
