About This Art
Hang this where the cold morning light hits and the soft grey sharpens. A black and white ski photograph, with a lone skier picked out against deep snow and a chairlift overhead.
The room slows down around it. Snow reads as soft off-white, the trees go almost black, and everything in between is quiet grey. It cools a warm room without feeling clinical, and it gives a neutral room something to look at.
Works best in a hallway, study, bedroom or above a console. Hang it at eye level so the skier sits roughly where you stand, or lift it slightly above a low piece of furniture.
Pairs well with oak or walnut, charcoal linen, worn leather and stoneware. A black frame is the obvious choice; oak keeps it warmer.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?
Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.
When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.
Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?
Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.
You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.
How do I know what size will actually work in my space?
Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.
Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

What's your return policy?
If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.
We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.
Is the skier small in the print, or do they fill the frame?
The skier sits low in the frame and is fairly small — about a quarter of the way up from the bottom edge. Most of the picture is snow, with the chairlift and snowy pines above. That's what gives it the quiet, scaled-down feel, so it reads as a calm landscape with a figure rather than a portrait of a skier.
Will it look too cold in a north-facing room?
It can. The piece runs cool by nature — soft greys and off-whites, no warm tones to balance it. In a north-facing room that already feels chilly, pair it with warm timber, leather or a bit of brass to stop the wall reading clinical. In warmer, south-facing rooms it works as a cooling counterweight.
Does it work in a pair, or is it better on its own?
Both. It carries a wall on its own at medium size above a console or desk. If you want a pair, choose another quiet winter or mountain photograph in the same tonal range — soft greys, no strong colour — and hang them with a clear gap between. Avoid pairing it with a busy or colour-led print, as that will fight the calm.
