    About This Art

First glance: cream and soft pink. Second glance: the cat doing something smarter. The room shifts from tidy to tongue-in-cheek in about three seconds. A kitchen that took itself a little too seriously suddenly has a regular, and the regular is judging your pour.

Hangs best where people already gather with a drink — a kitchen feature wall, a small bar nook, a dining corner, or the bit of hallway that leads to the wine. Eye level, somewhere a passing guest will spot it and laugh.

Pairs well with oak, brass, stoneware mugs and a plaster or soft pink wall. Sits comfortably with vintage drinks posters, small black-and-white photos and quiet botanicals.

Skip the busy patterned wallpaper behind it — the cat needs a calm wall to land the joke. Printed on premium fine-art paper; choose unframed or framed in real wood.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

    Made responsibly
FSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Is the background actually pink or more of a cream?

Both — the upper background is a warm cream and the lower foreground (the table or sill the cat is leaning on) is a soft, dusty pink. They sit together quietly rather than reading as a strong pink. On a plain off-white or pale plaster wall the cream blends in and the pink reads as a gentle warm base.

Will the soft pink section clash with a red or burgundy wall?

Most likely, yes. The pink foreground is muted but warm, and a deep red or burgundy wall behind it tends to muddy both. The print is happiest on cream, off-white, soft plaster, pale grey or a soft pink wall. If your wall is dark red, hang it somewhere else in the room.

Is it too jokey for a dining room?

It depends on the dining room. In a formal, traditional dining room with heavy timber and silverware, probably. In a relaxed dining corner with cane chairs, oak or walnut and a single pendant light, it lands well — dry rather than slapstick, and it gives guests something to talk about before the second bottle.
