    About This Art

Most living rooms are short of a view. The window looks at a fence or the house opposite, and the wall facing it looks at nothing. Give that wall a hillside. Hung wide above the sofa, the sky blue reads as light coming in, and the spring green does what a garden would if you had one. Keep the furniture under it soft. A linen sofa in oat or grey, a pale wood floor, one plant on the sill. Width matters more than anything here. At 120cm across the trees stand at roughly head height and the wall stops feeling like a wall. Smaller than 80cm it turns into a picture of a field. North-facing rooms gain the most. Come dusk the green stays fresh when the real garden has gone grey. On canvas the brushwork keeps its texture with no glass in the way.

We're serious about canvas art, ask away

From sizing to framing and print quality, Fab's art experts break it all down—so you can find the right art for your space.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the green fight with a grey sofa?

A grey sofa is the easiest match in the house for this piece. Mid grey or oat linen sits under the spring green without argument, and the sky blue picks up any cool tone in the fabric. Trouble only starts with a strong colour sofa, teal or mustard, where two big colours compete. Keep cushions plain and the pairing settles at once.

How wide should I go above a king-size bed?

Aim for the artwork to run slightly wider than the headboard, so on a 180cm bed that means around 120cm to 150cm across. Hang it about 15cm above the headboard top. Narrower than the headboard it looks perched. The 2:1 shape keeps the height modest, so it works even under a low ceiling without crowding the bed.

Does it suit a room with cream walls and terracotta?

Yes, and better than you might expect. Cream walls warm the sky blue rather than cooling it, and terracotta pots or tiles echo the small peach and pink notes on the slope. The green sits comfortably between the two. Avoid a strong orange wall behind it, which makes the blue look chilly, and choose off-white or warm cream instead.
