    About This Art

On a north-facing afternoon, the black ink looks almost illegally fresh. That is what this drawing does to a plain wall: it puts one strong graphic shape where there was nothing, without adding a single new colour to the room. The white ground keeps things light, so a small hallway or a tight study corner still feels open. Hang it at eye level in a hallway, above a bench in an entryway, or on the wall beside a desk where you glance up. It sits happily with painted panelling, pale or dark timber, linen seating and black metal fittings. Do not crowd it with other pet pictures or busy patterned art — the lines need a bit of quiet either side to read properly. On fine-art paper the pen lines stay sharp and the white stays clean.

    Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

    Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

    Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

    • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
    • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
    • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
    • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

    1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

    2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

    3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Is the breed actually recognisable, or does it just read as a scruffy dog?

The breed cues are deliberate. The long feathered ears, the docked upright tail and the heavy coat on the chest and legs all read as an English Springer Spaniel. From a metre or two back the silhouette is clear; up close it dissolves into loose pen lines, which is part of the fun.

Will it look too busy on a patterned wallpaper?

It can compete. The drawing is dense in the middle and the lines are fine, so a busy wallpaper fights it for attention. On patterned walls, go one size up and give it clear space, or mount it on a plain painted panel. On a plain wall it reads as a clean graphic shape.

Does it work as a pair with another dog drawing?

Yes, and it is one of the better ways to use it. Two spaniels facing inwards, same size and same frame, look intentional above a bench or sideboard. Keep the second drawing in the same black ink style rather than mixing in a colour portrait, which would unbalance the pair.
