    About This Art

Because Matisse knew restraint, the deep red hits harder here. White tulips sit against a blue and black stripe, with a striped vase echoing the backdrop and a band of red grounding the whole thing.

Put this on a quiet wall and the room sharpens. Neutral sofas read warmer, plain ceramics look intentional, and the eye finally has somewhere bold to land. It's the kind of piece that does the work of three smaller prints.

Hang it where it can breathe — above a console in the entryway, on a feature wall in the living room, or as the single piece behind a bed. Keep at least a hand's width of plain wall around it.

Pair with black-stained or oak timber, cream upholstery, glazed stoneware, and a rug that picks up the red band. Brass or matte black fittings both work.

Don't crowd it with other busy prints, patterned curtains or a heavily layered gallery wall. This piece wants to be the loudest thing in the room. On canvas, the painterly brushwork carries with real depth across the wall.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the blue and black stripes feel too busy in a small room?

The stripes are bold but ordered, so they read as graphic pattern rather than clutter. In a small room, give the print breathing space on the wall and keep nearby surfaces calm — plain ceramics, a single lamp, an uncluttered shelf. The stripe becomes the room's pattern instead of competing with curtains or rugs.

Does the deep red base clash with warm wood floors?

Not usually. The red sits at the bottom of the picture and reads as a grounding band rather than a dominant colour. It plays nicely with oak, walnut and warm rugs, and stops the blue and black above from feeling cold. If your floor is very orange-toned, hang the print a little higher to keep the colours from sitting flush.

Is this better as a solo piece or part of a gallery wall?

It works hardest on its own. The stripe backdrop already has so much rhythm that flanking it with other busy prints muddies the effect. If you do want company, choose much quieter neighbours — a small line drawing, a calm botanical — and keep them smaller in scale so this one stays the lead.
