    About This Art

With a still life, scale decides whether the kitchen wakes up. Go too small and it reads as a postcard pinned to the wall; go the right size and lunch starts to feel like an event.

Up on the wall, the room shifts. The blue gingham cloth, the deep red tomatoes and the lemon yellows pull warmth into the space and give a neutral kitchen something to talk about. It feels like a holiday lunch you almost remember.

Hang it above a sideboard, between cabinets, or on the wall you see from the dining table. Eye-level works best — close enough to read the bread, the wine bottle, the cheese.

Pair with pale oak, rattan, linen and blue and white ceramics. A terracotta jug or a bowl of lemons on the counter does the rest.

Don't crowd it with other busy patterns or competing food prints — let this one carry the table talk. Printed as canvas, stretched over a wooden frame and ready to hang straight from the box.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the blue gingham clash with my existing blue and white kitchen tiles?

Usually no — the gingham in the print is a softer, painted blue rather than a flat ceramic blue, so it sits next to tiles as a related tone rather than a competing pattern. The warmer reds, yellows and browns also break up the blue, so the wall doesn't feel one-note.

Is the print readable from across a dining room, or only up close?

Both. Up close you get the brushwork on the bread, lemons and cheese. From across the room — say two to three metres — it reads as a warm block of colour anchored by the blue gingham and the deep red tomatoes, so it still works as a focal point.

Does it look too busy for a small kitchen wall?

It's a detail-rich piece, so on a small wall it benefits from breathing room rather than shelves, hooks or utensils crowding it. Hang it on a clear stretch above a sideboard or between cabinets and let it carry the wall on its own — the busyness reads as warmth, not clutter.
