About This Art
From the doorway, the vertical reads clean. Up close, not polite. Loose watercolour edges break away from the brickwork, the chalkboard lettering wobbles, and the whole building sits on bare white paper rather than a tidy border. That mix does useful work in a room: it gives you a real subject to look at without adding pattern or heavy colour. Hang it in a hallway, at the top of the stairs, or in an alcove beside a home bar where people pass slowly enough to read the sign. It sits happily with dark painted woodwork, aged leather, warm brick and brass fittings. Don't crowd it with busy patterned pieces or pale coastal scenes — the warm brick and dark green need clear space either side. As a canvas the soft paint edges carry a little more texture up close.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?
Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.
When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.
Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?
Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.
You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.
How do I know what size will actually work in my space?
Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.
Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

What's your return policy?
If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.
We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.
Will the small chalkboard writing still be readable?
At medium size and up, yes. The chalkboard lettering and the pub sign are part of the charm, and they read clearly from about a metre away. In the smallest sizes those details soften into texture, so if the wording matters to you, go a size larger than you first planned.
Does it work on a dark painted wall?
It does, and often better than on white. The background is bare off-white, so a deep green, charcoal or inky blue wall makes the building float forward. Keep the wall clear around it and hang it at eye level so the warm brick has room to breathe.
Can I hang it in a kitchen or dining area instead?
Yes. It suits a kitchen or dining wall where there's a drinks shelf, sideboard or serving area. Keep it away from the hob and sink so it isn't sitting in steam or splashes, and give it a plain stretch of wall rather than tucking it among shelves.
