    About This Art

Morning is when a bathroom earns this. Sunlight off white tile bounces around a small room and the sky blue behind the frog catches it, so the wall reads brighter than the paint alone would manage. By late afternoon the deep green takes over and the room settles. Hang it on the wall you see from the basin, at eye level, with 40cm of clear wall either side. Leave the rest bare. Chrome taps and pale grout keep the greens looking clean rather than muddy. In a child's room it runs the other way, best in the last hour before bed when a lamp warms the orange edges and the frog turns into a bedtime character. A fern on the sill is enough company. On canvas the brushwork sits proud and the painted edges carry round the sides.

We're serious about canvas art, ask away

From sizing to framing and print quality, Fab's art experts break it all down—so you can find the right art for your space.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

    What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the green fight with a sage or olive bathroom?

It depends how much of your green is on the wall. Against a sage wall the leaf loses its edge and the picture flattens, so the frog ends up doing all the work. White, off-white or pale blue walls are where it looks sharpest. If you love your sage, hang it on the one tiled wall instead and let the tile make the gap.

Is it too childish for a living room?

The handling is loose oil painting rather than cartoon, so it holds its own next to adult furniture. It sits best in a living room as the one picture on a smaller wall, by a doorway or between two windows, at medium size. Over a sofa it would read as too small and too sweet, so keep it off the main wall.

What size should I buy for a downstairs loo?

Go medium, roughly 40 to 50cm on the long side. A downstairs loo is viewed from about a metre, often side on, so anything bigger crowds the room and anything smaller turns the frog into a postage stamp. Centre it on the wall facing the door at eye level and keep the rest of the walls empty.
