About This Art
We like a pair of fish best when it comes with a little abrasion. The black shapes are cut rather than drawn, so the edges chip and the cream scales sit slightly off-register. Put it up and a plain kitchen or dining wall gets a bit of humour and a clear focal point without adding clutter. It holds a narrow stretch of wall between cupboards, above a counter, or on the run of wall beside a dining table. Pair it with pale wood, glazed stoneware, linen and simple black fittings. Don't crowd it with busy pattern or fussy florals — the two little orange caps are the only colour this one needs. On canvas the inked edges read softer and the surface stays matt under kitchen lighting.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?
Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.
When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.
Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?
Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.
You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.
How do I know what size will actually work in my space?
Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.
Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

What's your return policy?
If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.
We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.
Will it look odd in a kitchen that isn't coastal or nautical?
No. The fish are treated as flat graphic shapes rather than a seaside scene, so there's nothing beachy about it. It reads as a simple black-and-cream pattern piece, which is why it sits happily in painted, pale wood or plain white kitchens as easily as in a coastal one.
Is the orange strong enough to clash with my kitchen colours?
It's a small amount — two little caps at the nose of each fish. The wall is dominated by black and warm cream, so the orange acts as a pinprick of warmth rather than a colour you have to match. It sits fine with green, blue, grey or natural wood cabinets.
Does it work hung sideways as a landscape piece?
Best not. The two fish are stacked one above the other with deliberate space around them, so turning it puts them side by side and squeezes the composition. If you need a wide piece for a long wall, look for a landscape format instead and keep this one for an upright stretch.
