How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Is the Empire State Building clearly the focal point, or does it get lost in the sketch?
It sits dead centre at the end of the avenue and rises higher than every other building in the frame. The deep blue wash on the tower against the lighter sky makes it the first thing your eye lands on, even from across the room.
Will the bright yellow cabs feel too busy in a calm living room?
The cabs are small relative to the whole image and sit low in the composition, so they read as accents rather than the main event. Most of the picture is off-white paper and quiet washes, which keeps the overall feel calmer than a photo of the same scene would.
Does it work in portrait orientation above a wide sofa?
Yes — the vertical pull up the avenue toward the Empire State Building actually anchors a wide sofa nicely on its own at a large size. If your sofa is very long, pair it with a smaller companion print to either side rather than sizing this one up further.
