Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
   
   
2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
   
   
3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

It can, if the walls are also dark. The blues are deep but broken up by quick brushwork and warm ginger in the beard, so on a pale plaster or off-white wall the picture reads as rich rather than dense. In a small, already-dark room, keep it as the only piece on that wall.

Close to head-on, with a steady, slightly questioning gaze. The eyes track you across the room more than you'd expect — useful in a study or hallway, less so above a sofa where you'd rather not feel watched while you read.

Both work. Above a desk, it sits at natural eye level when you stand and adds weight to the back wall of a study. Above a hallway console, it becomes the thing you greet on the way in. Avoid hanging it above a sofa where you sit beneath it for hours.
