Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
   
   
2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
   
   
3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

The background is a warm yellow rather than a bright one, so it reads closer to mustard than to sunshine. In a small kitchen or dining nook it adds warmth rather than glare, especially against off-white or cream walls. If your walls are already a strong yellow or ochre, hang it on a quieter wall — a soft grey or chalky white — so the painting has room to breathe.

The print is colour-matched to high-resolution archival scans of the 1888 version. You'll see the warm yellow ground, the mustard and brown sunflower heads, the small touches of green in the leaves, and the blue line of the signature on the vase. Like any reproduction of a 130-year-old oil painting, the surface texture of the original brushwork is photographic rather than physical.

Yes — it actually does better that way. The painting is already carrying the yellow, so the room around it doesn't need to. Plain walls, natural wood, linen, stoneware and a little green from plants is usually enough. Adding more yellow textiles or yellow paint tends to flatten the print rather than support it.
